It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet Kay Cianelli, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on October 15, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on October 12, 1953, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, Janet spent her life rooted in her hometown, leaving an indelible mark on the community she cherished.

Janet had a vibrant spirit, and her passion for life was evident in everything she did. Known for her warm smile and infectious laughter, she brought joy to all who knew her. Janet was an active member of the American Legion Post 47 and the VFW Post 8126, where she fostered connections and camaraderie with fellow veterans and community members. Alongside her commitment to service, she found joy in singing and dancing, often lighting up the room with her love for karaoke. Janet cherished spending time with her family and friends, who were the center of her universe.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, McKenzie West, and her loving brother, Barry West, and several nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Janet was preceded in death by her parents Ralph West and Joyce Marie Jones West, her sister, Sandra Curry, and brother, Timothy West.

A public viewing will be held in her honor at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., on October 23, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM. Janet's family invites all who knew and loved her to join in celebrating her extraordinary life, sharing stories, laughter, and the love she brought into this world. As Janet would have wished, let us come together as a community to remember the joy and love she shared so freely.

Janet's light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
