It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet Elizabeth Martin, who peacefully departed this life on November 25, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on November 18, 1944, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, Janet lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Janet was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Joseph Martin, for the past 51 years, and a proud mother to her three children: Dwayne Worthington, Shelly Martin (Josh), and Timmy Martin (Kelly). She took immense joy in being a grandmother to her grandchildren: Dustin Worthington, Brandon Worthington (Jess), Dylan Martin, Jonathon Allen (Jamie) , Faith Allen, Jase Martin, and Gunnar Martin. Janet's legacy continues with her great-granddaughter, Sadie Allen. She is also survived by her cherished siblings: brother Frank Worthington (Mary), sisters Ann Polk (Jack) and Mary Ross (Clarence), and brother Paul Worthington (Barbara). Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Worthington and Dorothy Worthington.

A dedicated school bus driver for many years, Janet was known for her kind spirit and unwavering commitment to the children she transported. Her community involvement extended to her membership in the Rock Run United Methodist Church and her time with the Level Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Janet's passions were as vibrant as her personality. She found great joy in crocheting, card nights, crabbing, and fishing, and delighted in gathering with family and friends for cookouts and weekly Sunday dinners. The beach held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the family memories created there.

Janet's warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Services will be held at Rock Run Methodist Church on December 13th, starting at 11am with a gathering immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made by check to the Rock Run youth group. Checks may be mailed to 4102 Rock Run Rd, Havre De Grace Md 21078.
