Janice Ida Morris Rector
Janice Ida Morris Rector, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. She was 78.
She was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Howard Morris and Elsie Wilkinson Morris. She was the loving wife of 12 years to Lee Wayne Rector, Sr., devoted mother of Howard "Norman" Oals and his wife Janice, Madison Oals, Monica Oals, Vivian Oals, and Diana Bandjough and her husband Dave. She was the adored grandmother of Emmanuel Oals, Chelsie Oals, Isaiah Jackson, and Tracy Conaway, and the great-grandmother of Joshua Taylor and Ashley Conaway. She was predeceased by her siblings Norman Morris, Leonard Morris, Vincent Morris, and Orville Morris.
Mrs. Rector worked for 36 years at A&P and Superfresh Supermarkets. She was a life member of the VFW Post 8126 in Havre de Grace, MD. She loved playing BINGO and slot machines.
A visitation will be held on January 21, 2012 from 11AM until 1 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Services will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be held at Rock Run Cemetery, Havre de Grace, MD.
