Her love for Roller Derby, her favorite sport, led her to be honored as an honorary member of a professional team, with her jersey number retired in recognition of her spirited contribution to the sport.
Janis adored her family, both blood and chosen, valuing the connections she shared with her father Jason and (Amma) Sarah Riedal, mother Lauren Mastorakis, siblings Nathan Mastorakis and Nora Hartwell, as well as her beloved grandparents Tina and Rich Corbin, Mike and Pattie Procyk, Bobby and Tina Boardwine, Aunts and Uncles Rachel and Brendan, Dave, Zach, Kris and Jeff, Steph and Tony, her Best Friend and Wifey Bella, extended family.
