Jimmy Willard Ray, Sr. of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on June 14, 2022. He was 83.

Mr. Ray was born in Cucumber, WV, to Wilson H. Ray "Happy", and Ruby T. LaForce Ray. He was the devoted husband of 56 years to Joyce Ann Ray, loving father of Rhonda Ray Drupieski (her husband Joseph), Theresa Jackson, Jimmy Ray, Jr. (his wife Denise), and Christina Ray Woodie, grandfather of Clinton "Tony" Ray, Joseph Drupieski, III, Kylie Ray Drupieski, Dylan Ray Jackson, Alyson Jackson, Jordyn Ray, Sydney Ray, Bethany Ray, Devon Woodie, Skyler Ray Woodie, and Aidan Woodie, and great-grandfather of Sophia Ray, and Sebastian Ray. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Larry Allan Ray, Vivian Ray Waldron, Judy Ray Decker, and Norma Jean Ray.

Mr. Ray graduated from Big Creek High School. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. He retired from Cytec Industries. Mr. Ray coached Little League Baseball and Football for several years. He enjoyed watching baseball and football (he was a Redskins and Yankees Fan). He also enjoyed his beloved dogs Precious and Snuggles, watching NASCAR, gardening, working in his yard and walking with his wife.

A Private service will be held at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
