Jo-Ann Thompson Sale
Jo-Ann Thompson Sale of Havre de Grace, passed on November 20, 2009 at the St. Joseph's Medical Center in Towson, MD. She was 77.
Mrs. Sale was born in Gadsden, Alabama to the Late R.C. Thompson and Eva (Watson) T. Smith. She was the wife of the J.C. Sale, Jr.
She was the loving mother of Janet S. Dill and her husband William, Richard K. Sale and Wesley N. Sale. She was a devoted grandmother to Judeah M. Sale. She was a half sister to Teresa Terry and was predeceased by her siblings Jackie Jones Craig and Billy Ray Thompson.
She had worked at C& P Telephone from 1951 to 1960. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Havre de Grace and was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Sale had been a volunteer for the Citizen's Care Center since 1984. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Some of her favorite foods were Fried Oysters from the Bayou Restaurant and Chocolate Covered Peanuts.
