Joan D. Adams
Joan D. Adams of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on February 10, 2011 at Union Memorial Hospital in Elkton, MD. She was 77. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Charles F. Adams.
Mrs. Adams was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Earl R. and Pearl D. Day.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon McGrath and her husband John, two sons Charles F. Adams, Jr. and his wife Lisa and Michael Adams and his wife Carolann. She was the grandmother of four and great-grandmother of eight.
Mrs. Adams is retired from the Perry Point VA Medical Center and volunteered at Citizens Nursing Home. She enjoyed BINGO, going to North East Park, Casino's with her friend of many years Bill Williams and being with her friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 12 to 1 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 P.M. also at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Harford Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, MD.
