We celebrate the life and legacy of Joan Catherine Lahr, a woman who cherished the simple joys of life and touched the hearts of all who knew her. Born in Callicoon, NY on May 13, 1955, to the late Boyce and Evelyn Roberts. Joan's radiant spirit shone brightest when she was surrounded by loved ones and the things she held dear.

With a heart full of love and a joyful spirit, Joan found passion in her craft hobby, adored watching cowboy and western movies, took great pride in her beautiful flower beds, and felt alive when cruising on motorcycles. Her love for Native American memorabilia and dreamcatchers reflected her deep appreciation for culture and beauty.

A dedicated individual, Joan pursued a career in nursing, leaving a positive impact on those she cared for throughout her life. Her compassion knew no bounds, and her nurturing nature brought comfort to many in need.

Joan's memory will forever be cherished by her beloved husband Harold "Radar" Lahr, her son Donald Burton, and her grandchildren Evan Herman, Jamie Cooper, Chase Cooper, Landon Burton, Mason Burton, and Tristan Cooper. Joan was preceded in death by, her son Jeremy Cooper, daughter Amanda Herman. She was cherished by her dedicated friends, Sherri Ratliff, and Lori Baker. Her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering positivity will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Join us in honoring Joan's life at a visitation on October 23, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., where a Memorial Service is to be held, at 7:00 p.m. Let us come together to celebrate the remarkable woman she was, the love she shared, and the memories she leaves behind.
