Obituary
Joe Allen Ray, Sr., of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on June 10, 2023. He was 76 years old.
Mr. Ray was born in Honaker, Virginia, to Deward and Cassie Ray. He was the father of April Ray Borsc, Joe Ray, Jr., John Ray, Deward Ray, and the late Angela Montgomery. He is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Gaynel Ray and the late Minnie Simpson and Jack Ray.
Mr. Ray served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked as a mason, finishing out his career at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion and the VFW. Mr. Ray was an avid gardener.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 6:30 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD.
