John Joseph Gallagher, of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on October 5, 2018. He was 94.
Mr. Gallagher was born in New York, New York, to John Joseph Gallagher and Mary Geaney Gallagher. He was the husband of the late Virginia Daugherty Gallagher, loving father of Katherine Gallagher Delp and Richard, of Havre de Grace, MD, and Patricia Gallagher McCarthy and
Ed Tristani of Perryville, MD. He was the adored grandfather of Katherine McCarthy Lewis and great-grandfather of Virginia E. Lewis. He is also survived by his companion Jean Weir.

Mr. Gallagher served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground as a communication specialist. He was a member of American Legion Post 47, the Knights of Columbus, and the Bush River Power Squadron. He enjoyed boating, crabbing and traveling. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD.
