It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Lewis Miller Jr., who left this world on September 13, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on December 18, 1964, in Fort Benning, Georgia, John had a huge heart that was evident to all who knew him.

John was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Melissa Meekins (Phil) ; son, John Miller, III, (Kelsey Roark); his cherished grandchildren, Jacey Meekins, Aubrey Meekins, Brantley Miller, Maverick Miller, Charles Miller, and bonus grandchild McKinley; his loving mother, Ruth Barrow; and his siblings, Teresa, Sandy, and Robert. Each of them carries forward John's spirit in their hearts.

A dedicated diesel mechanic, John spent many years of his life working at Bentley and also Best Trans, where he was respected and admired for his skill and commitment to his craft. Beyond his career, he loved watching his kids and grandkids grow up. John was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. He found peace in the great outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting whenever he could.
