John E. Mogan of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on July 22, 2017 at home. He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy M. Topper Mogan.

Mr. Mogan was born in Chicago, IL to the late Coleman and Catherine Mogan. He was the devoted Step-Father to Mary P. Yeargain, Catherine M. Topper Bubb and Patricia A. Topper. He was the adoring "Poppie" to Lissette K. and Leighanne H. Yeargain and Kaitlin L. and Emilee E. Bubb. Mr. Mogan was predeceased by his brother Larry Mogan.

Mr. Mogan was a veteran of the United States Army for more than 20 years, serving in the Vietnam War and ending his career as First Sergeant. He retired from Civilian Service as a Project Manager at the Aberdeen Proving Ground. He enjoyed cooking, golf and was extremely charitable supporting the St. Jude and Wounded Warrior Foundation. He also loved History and was an avid reader.
