John L. Rimel Jr. of Perryman died Oct. 25 at home. He was 75. He was born in Clintonville, WV, the son of the late John L. Rimel Sr. and Hattie M. Cassell Rimel.
He was a retired Captain from the Havre de Grace Police Department after 35 years of service. He was also a member of the Maryland National Guard. He was an avid hunter and crabber.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Norma L. Strong Rimel, his daughter Karen Berger and
family, of Havre de Grace, his son Michael Rimel and familyfrom Havre de Grace and
daughter, Missy Mitchell andfamily from Perryman.
A remembrance will be held 1-6 PM, Saturday, Nov 21, 2015, at the Havre de Grace
Community Center, 100 Largaret LN, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
