Johnny B. Fisher


Johnny B. Fisher, 72, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on January 31, 2012.

He was born in New Castle, VA, to the late Marshall McKinley Fisher and Ruth Parsons Fisher. He was the devoted husband of 50 years to Mary Ellen Fisher, loving father of Carolyn Ann Lewis and her companion Lee Bennett of Perryville, MD and John David Fisher and his wife Carol Ann Fisher of Elkton, MD.

He was the adored grandfather of Jordan David Lewis, Cameron Marshall Fisher, Connor David Lewis, Savannah Bennett, Sarah Bennett, Jared Bunnell, Taylor Bunnell, Tanya Ayers and Samuel Ayers.
He was the brother of Kathy Mae Poff and her companion Mike Henry, Patricia A. Bostic, and Dreama Douthat and her husband Donald. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a brother-in-law James A. Kozub and his wife Ruthi.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Culver Fisher, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Della Kozub.

Mr. Fisher worked as a lab technician at J.M. Huber Corp. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47, VFW Post 8126, and was a former member of Susquehanna Hose Company. He received the Fireman of the Year Award in 1971. He enjoyed his time sitting with friends on the ramp at the firehouse. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved traveling and being at the ocean.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 2, from 6-9 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jordan Lewis, Connor Lewis, Cameron Fisher, Junior Hamm, Lee Bennett, David Lewis and Savannah Bennett.
