Jose O. Rivera-Ramos passed away on Tuesday November 21, 2023. He was 88.

Born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico he was the son of Felix Maria and Eustaquia (Ramos) Rivera and the husband of Rosalia Rivera to whom he was married since 1960.

He served 24 years in US Army, retiring as a Master Sargeant (MSG) having served in Vietnam, Europe, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and other CONUS installations. After his military retirement he worked as an Army civilian at the Combat Systems Test Activity, APG.

He is survived by his children, Timothy Mercer of Taos, NM, Fabian Rivera and his wife Vickie of Columbia, SC., Daniel Rivera and his wife Charo of Blacksburg, VA.; grandchildren, David Rivera and his wife Jessi, Gabriela Rivera and Mason Rivera; great grandchildren, Elena and Addison as well as his siblings Meri Rivera and Rosin Rivera of Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico and Jose Miguel Rivera of Killen, TX. In addition to his mother and father he is predeceased by his son Jose 0. Rivera-Leon and his brother Raimundo and sisters Felita and Myrta of Puerto Rico.
