Obituary

Joseph James Correri, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on August 18, 2014. He was 80 years old.
Mr. Correri was born in Havre de Grace, MD to Joseph J. Correri, Sr., and Margaret Mary Maynes Correri. He was the devoted husband of 53 years to V. Lucile Correri (nee Collins). He was the loving father of Joseph J. Correri, Jr., and his wife Joyce Ann Correri of North East, MD, Anthony Allen Correri and his wife Margaret Anne Correri of Edgewood, MD, and Susan Michelle Correri of Aberdeen, MD. Mr. Correri has 8 grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Mary Barbara Correri Webster and her husband Harry V. Webster of Aberdeen, MD, and was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.

Mr. Correri attended the Radio Institute of Baltimore for two years. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. After his service to his country, he worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground for over 40 years. He was a member of the Susquehanna Hose Company for over 40 years, holding the positions of Lieutenant and Captain. He was also a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Correri loved trains.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 10:00 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Father Charles Talar will officiate.
