Joseph Allen Melvin, of Perryville, MD, passed away on March 1, 2023. He was 74.

Mr. Melvin was born in Felton, DE, to Cornelius Melvin and Charlotte Dean Melvin. He was the husband of Donna Miller, father of Micki Todd (Mike), grandfather of Jessica Nielson (Ray), and brother of G. Dean Melvin (Karen), the late Eldon Melvin and David Melvin. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Bonnie Melvin and Mary McGee. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor Pauline Melvin.

Mr. Melvin owned and operated Melvin's Tire and Auto Service. He was a proud NRA member and was a member of the Baltimore County Fish and Game Association. Mr. Melvin enjoyed challenging his mind doing crossword puzzles, studying history, and learning how to build and fix things.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Pastor Luis Machado will officiate.
