Joseph Thomas Squires, Ill, of Darlington, MD, passed away on June 23, 2024. He was 71 years old.

Mr. Squires was born in Dillon, S.C., to Joseph Thomas Squires Jr., and Jacqueline Turbeville Squires. He was the loving father of Joseph Thomas Squires IV, (Hunter), grandfather of Joseph Taylor Squires, Caroline Harper Squires, and Lucius Graham Squires, and brother of Jacqueline Marie Squires, Judith Rebecca Squires, and the late Catherine Jane Squires.

Mr. Squires graduated from the Citadel in 1976. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and sporting clays. Mr. Squires also enjoyed old cars and motorcycles, especially International Scouts, and was a member of several local car clubs. Although he had many hobbies, his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren in South Carolina.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 3-5 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
