Kathleen Patricia Santana, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on November 24, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was 73.
Mrs. Santana was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to William John Buchholz and Theresa Roberta Morse Buchholz. She was the devoted wife of Felipe Santana, loving mother of Matthew Santana (Elissa), Joseph Santana, and the late Rebecca Santana, and dear sister of Mary Suzanne Perry, William John Buchholz, Thomas Robert Buchholz, James Louis Buchholz, Theresa Ann Malkowski, John Patrick Buchholz, Robert Michael Buchholz, Margaret Mary Laughlin, Michael Joseph Buchholz, and Joseph Michael Buchholz.
Mrs. Santana was extremely active at the Post Chapel at Aberdeen Proving Ground, where she was a religious education teacher, a Eucharistic Minister, and she was a part of the MCCW-World-Wide and CWOC of APG, and she was also a part of the APG Parish Council for many years. She was a substitute teacher for many years and was a great mentor to soldiers and their families and was active in the Lighthouse Fellowship and was part of the APG Community Spouses Club and would organize baby showers for mothers in need every January. Mrs. Santana was supportive of many Pro-Life groups and was part of the Iron Angels supporting Multiple Sclerosis organizations.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Fr. Francis Ouma and Msgr. Martin Field will officiate. Interment will be held at Mt. Erin Cemetery. Friends and family are encouraged to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to a Multiple Sclerosis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Pro-Life Charity of your choice.
