Kay Vaughan Beavers

Kay Vaughan Beavers of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on September 27, 2010 at the Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson. He was 63.

Mr. Beavers was born in Tazewell, VA to the late Manning C. and Fushia L. (Chandler) Beavers. He was the loving brother of Barbara Bravard, Bernice Krouse, Shirley Pruitt and the late Vestal Beavers. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He had retired as a grounds caretaker of the Aberdeen Proving Ground. He loved reading his Bible and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Aberdeen. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, walking the promenade and streets of Havre de Grace. Several times he traveled to the Creepers Trail in Virginia to ride his bike and he was a frequent visitor to the Ma & Pa trail for bike riding. Mr. Beavers loved the Bridge Diner and he was friendly to everyone he met. He loved joking around and laughing with people. He loved the Ravens and wasn't often seen without his Ravens gear. Mr. Beavers loved spending time with his family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Bible Baptist Church, 41 Mitchell Avenue, Aberdeen, MD at 10 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM.

Interment will be at Angel Hill Cemetery in Havre de Grace, MD

Officiating will be Pastor Ben Cordle of the Bible Baptist Church.
