It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Robert Streb, 62, on June 23, 2026, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Born on July 3, 1963, in Baltimore, MD, Kenneth lived a life dedicated to service, family, and the joy of living.
Kenneth worked for many years in fire protection services at Harris Fire Protection, where his commitment to safety and community was unwavering. He proudly served for 19 years as a dedicated member of the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps and was an integral part of the Susquehanna Hose Company, where he contributed to the Dive Team. Kenneth was also a past member of the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association Honor Guard, a role that held immense significance to him, and he shared this commitment with his loving wife, Susan.
A passionate fan of the Baltimore Ravens, he embraced life with infectious enthusiasm, whether cheering for his favorite team or enjoying the thrill of SCUBA diving. Kenneth's zest for life was matched only by his devotion to his family, including his beloved wife, Susan Ruth (Hewitt) Streb; son, James "Jamie" Streb (Bethany); and treasured grandchildren Aurora Lyn Streb, "Jack-Jack" Streb , and Rowan Streb. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Sharon Jaklitsch (Jim) and Kathleen Scott (Jay) and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephew, who will carry his memory in their hearts. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Raymond Streb and Elizabeth Janice Morrissey Streb.
A public viewing will take place on June 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. to honor Kenneth's legacy and give friends and family the opportunity to pay their respects. A funeral service will be held on June 30, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. John's Episcopal Church, where loved ones will gather to celebrate his life and the impact he made on those around him. Services will be Livestreamed via Facebook and will also be available via Mr. Streb's Tribute page.
Kenneth Robert Streb's spirit will continue to live on in the memories of all who knew him. His compassionate nature and unwavering dedication will be sorely missed but fondly remembered.
