Lee Lester Meredith
Lee Lester Meredith, of Havre de Grace, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2009. He was 79.
He was born in Marion Township, Pennsylvania, to the late William and Mary Keeney Meredith.
Mr. Meredith retired after over 40 years of service, from the U.S. Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity, also known as AMSAA as an Operations Research Analyst. Following his retirement, he continued to work for H&R Block and also for Klein's Supermarkets.
Aside from his work, he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and especially spending time at his summer beach home. He was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Meredith was the loving husband to Helen Elizabeth Meredith for over 7 years and also to the late Betty Mae Meredith for 36 years. He was the dear father of Debbie and Ernie Grady of Havre de Grace, and the grandfather of Michael Lee Grady and Meredith Ellen Grady of Havre de Grace. He was the step-father to Gina L. Blanchard of Red Lion, PA, Maureen N. Ratliff of Bethel, PA, and Eloise A. Hartman of Manheim, PA. He was the brother of Edwin Meredith of Bernville, PA, Charles Meredith of Womelsdorf, PA, and Florence Moyer of Camp Hill, PA.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 14, at 1:00 PM, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 201 Mt. Royal Avenue, Aberdeen, Maryland21001. Interment will be private. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to: Havre de Grace Little League, P.O. Box 122, Havre de Grace, MD, 21078 or to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
