Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Jay (Vincenti) Packard, who left this world peacefully on November 28, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on June 18, 1949, in Havre de Grace, MD, Linda lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community.

Linda was a devoted wife to her husband, Charles Packard Sr., and a loving mother to her son, Charles "Chad" Packard Jr. (Heather). She is also survived by her cherished sister, Vicki Eller (Grant), her nephew Kelly Connors (Rachel), her niece, Megan Gillotte Harris (Daniel), her grand-nephew, Kyle, grand-niece, Bailey, and two- great-grand nieces, her brother-in-law, Fred Packard and her sister-in-law, Alison O'Brien. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Gillotte Sr., her mother, Betty Gillotte, brother, Frederick Gillotte Jr., her mother-in-law, Mildred Packard, father-in-law, Roscoe Packard and sister-in-law, Cathy Packard. Linda's legacy is one of unwavering support, kindness, and an infectious spirit that brought joy to everyone lucky enough to know her.

Linda spent 41 fulfilling years as a Human Resources Manager at Cytec, where she was dedicated to the well-being of her colleagues. Her commitment extended beyond her career; she served on the Compensation and Benefits Committee for the City of Havre de Grace, contributing to the welfare of her local community.



Linda was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary and later the support group of the Susquehanna Hose Company. She was also a member of the R. Madison Mitchell Chapter of Ducks Unlimited banquet committee.

A member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Linda's faith played an integral role in her life. She found solace and strength in her beliefs.

Above all else, Linda treasured the time spent with her family. She had a passion for traveling and cherished memories of cruising to new destinations with loved ones. Her laughter and warmth will be deeply missed, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in her life.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Linda's life during a public viewing, which will take place on December 4, 2025, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., from 2:00 - 4;00 PM and 6:00- 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on December 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where we will gather to honor her memory and reflect on the love she shared so freely. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.

In this time of mourning, we extend our deepest condolences to all who loved Linda. She will forever remain in our hearts, a beautiful light that will never fade.
