Lonnie Frederick Bowman, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 30, 2023. He was 74.

Mr. Bowman was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Charles Bechtold Bowman and Mary Sue Spry Bowman.
Mr. Bowman was the devoted husband of the late Shirley Ann Gompers Bowman, loving brother of Charles Fletcher Bowman (Sandy), and Lawrence Alan Bowman (Liz) , uncle of Mary Sue Allison Bowman, Sarah Bowman Angelo, Melanie Beth Bowman, Brittney Lynn Bowman Ackerman, and great-uncle of Raegan Faith Ackerman and Sadie Reese Bowman.

Mr. Bowman served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years during Vietnam. He retired from the United States Post Office in Churchville. Mr. Bowman was an accomplished athlete, playing Pitcher and First Base in Softball for American Legion Post 128. He golfed for American Legion Post 47 and 128 and bowled 2 perfect games during his career with his Monday Night Men's League.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 11AM until 12 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 12. Rev. Paul Papp will officiate.
Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Bowman, Eddie Barnard, Jimmy Cassady, Frank McFadden, Roger Gompers and Alfred Hartsock.
