It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucinda Bernadette Hanna, a beloved sister, friend, and community member, who left this world peacefully on January 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on July 24, 1942, in Lancaster, PA, Lucinda dedicated her life to serving others.
As a civil service specialist at The Pentagon, Lucinda exemplified commitment and integrity in her work. Beyond her professional life, she was a cherished member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she devoted many years to teaching CCD to children, sharing her faith and values with the next generation. Lucinda's deep devotion and belief in the goodness of the Lord guided her throughout her life, and she continually expressed gratitude for the blessings she received.
Lucinda was an avid reader, often immersing herself in literature, and she loved to share her insights and recommendations with family and friends. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving brothers, Roland and John Hanna, and her dear sister, Rose Ballard. Each of them carries the legacy of Lucinda's love and faith in their hearts. Lucinda was preceded in death by her parents, Roland Hanna, Sr., and Linnie Schoff Hanna, and her sister, Mary Dabradalskas.
A public viewing will be held at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., on January 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service honoring Lucinda's remarkable life at 1:00 PM. We invite all who knew and loved Lucinda to join us in celebrating her life and the profound impact she had on so many.
In this time of mourning, let us remember Lucinda Bernadette Hanna not only for her contributions but for her unwavering spirit, her love for her family, and her enduring faith in God. May her soul find eternal peace.
