Margaret M. Lawder, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on March 20, 2023 at the Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. She was 72 years old and the devoted wife of 54 years to Murray B. Lawder.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late John P. Correri, Sr. and Catherine E. Correri. She was the loving mother of William "Billy" Lawder, Paul Lawder (Natasha); adoring grandmother to William "Will" Lawder, Gage T. Lawder, Wyatt I. Lawder, and Avery G. Lawder; beloved sister of John P. Correri, Jr. (Linda R.), Patricia A. Correri and the late Regina C. Correri.
Mrs. Lawder was a graduate of Institute of Notre Dame High School, she pursued her nursing degree, while also continuing her role as a homemaker and mother. She received her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree from the Havre de Grace Colored School, and continued on to receive her Bachelors of Nursing Degree (BSN) from the University of Maryland. Mrs. Lawder worked for many years as a Nurse and retired from the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Her most treasured role was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed taking pictures of her grandchildren at all of their events, reading, cross-word puzzles and cooking.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 2 to 4 P.M and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery.
