Margaret Mae Tate



Margaret Mae Tate of Havre de Grace, MD passed away peacefully on August 12, 2009 at the Citizen's Care Center in Havre de Grace. She was 87.
Mrs. Tate was born in Baltimore, MD to the late George H. and Margaret M. (Shanklin) Maurice. She was the loving wife to the late Nathan Tate.
She is survived by her children; June A. Major and her husband William, Sharon M. Williams and her husband Sidney, Mickey Hebditch, the late Nathan Lee Tate, Jr. She was the step-mother to Morris Lee Tate and Linda McReynolds. She was a devoted grandmother of seventeen, great-grandmother of twenty-five and great-great grandmother of one. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Maurice.
Mrs. Tate loved playing BINGO and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Havre de Grace. She enjoyed baking and making candies to give to her friends and family. Mrs. Tate truly enjoyed going to Delaware Park. She was a huge NASCAR fan and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
A service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10 AM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. Interment will be at Angel Hill Cemetery in Havre de Grace, MD.
