It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marian Francis Solesi, 90, of Pylesville, MD, who left us on November 30, 2024. Born on August 8, 1934, in Baltimore City, MD, Marian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love and compassion touched the lives of many. Marian was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wilbert Earl Solesi on May 28, 1989.

Marian graduated from Eastern High School in 1953. After graduation, she worked for the C & P Telephone Company in Baltimore until she started her family. She was know for her nurturing spirit, which she exemplified while running an in-home daycare for many years. Marian found immense joy in reading and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, attending their events and celebrating their achievements. A true Baltimorean at heart, she was an avid fan of the Orioles and Ravens, passionately supporting her teams through every season.

Marian is survived by her beloved son, David Solesi (Jamie); her cherished daughter, Dawn Solesi-Gross (Michael Gross); her sister, Harriet Jagdman; her loving grandchildren, Anthony Solesi (Lindsay), Hannah Gross, Jacob Gross, and Hayley Gross; as well as her great-grandchildren, Penelope Solesi and Griffin Solesi, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service honoring Marian's incredible life will be held on December 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., with a public viewing beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001. Pastor Paul Schmidt will officiate.

Marian's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Marian was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Lee Francis, mother Marian Virginia Henderson Francis, siblings, Raymond Francis, William Francis, Elizabeth Francis, Virginia Thomas, Lois Francis, Woodson Francis, Raymond Francis, Erminie Knight, Roberta Francis, and grandchildren Meghan Gross, Molly Gross, Lisa Gross, Kelley Gross, and Marc Gross.
