Marie V. Stokes, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on November 12, 2022. She was 101 years old.
Mrs. Stokes was born in Bluefield, West Virginia, to Richard Franklin Wheelock and Sally Cornett Wheelock. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas Stokes, loving mother of Tommie Popa (John) and Sandra "Sandy" Miller (Don), grandmother of Joseph Sullivan, Christine Seilback, Jonathan Popa, Rachel Popa, and Jeremy Popa, and great-grandmother of Jonathan, Victoria, Ethan and Kinsley Seilback and Randy and Cassidy Sullivan. She was predeceased by her siblings.
Mrs. Stokes was a former member of Old Court Baptist Church and a current member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:30. Entombment will be held at Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208, at 2:30 PM.
