Obituary

Mark Alan Lambert (67)

May 14, 1957 – January 31, 2025

Mark, a resident of Whiteford, MD, passed away on January 31, 2025 after a long illness at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD.

Mark was a 1975 graduate of North Harford and worked as a meat cutter at Delta Meats immediately after high school. Shortly thereafter he made a career for many years with the State of Maryland as an inspector for the Department of Weights and Measures. He would often be seen checking the calibration of the gas pumps in Harford and Cecil Counties.

Marks passion was racing motorcycles in organized competition. His racing started at the local motorcycle Hillclimb, then on to Motocross, Hare Scrambles, and Enduros. Mark was an expert class rider and won championships in the 1980's and 90's. The pinnacle of his racing career was earning a spot in the 1993 International Six Days Enduro, held in Holland.

Mark had a fierce determination, yet was an easy person to know and he liked everyone. He had a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and lost everything he loved through the course of his disease.

Mark is survived by his sister Karen Gorsuch (Scott) and his brother John (Linda), his daughter Kelly Bodani (seth) and their children Riley, Claire, Zoe, and Grace, his daughter Sara LaHatte (Michael), and many nieces and nephews.

The family would appreciate contributions in memory of Mark to any of the following:
