Mary Holmgren, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 11, 2023. She was 74.

Mrs. Holmgren was born in Limerick, Ireland, to John Moore and Mary O'Connor Moore. She was the devoted wife of James Carl Holmgren, loving mother of James Carl Holmgren (Tina), and Susan Ann Holmgren (Brian Murtagh), adored grandmother of Patrick William Holmgren (Jaclyn Chicalese), Daniel James Holmgren (Alexis Holmgren), and Jonathan Carl Holmgren. She was the sister of Anne, Helen, Nora, Liz, John, James, Tony, Geraldine, Pat, Peig, Morris and Frank.

Mrs. Holmgren enjoyed gardening and flowers, especially roses. She was an avid reader and loved animals and was extremely fond of her Irish Setters. Most of all, she enjoyed being with and spoiling her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 12 P.M. to 4 P.M. at the Tidewater Grille, 300 Franklin Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
