Mary Edith Keene
Mary Edith Keene, of Havre de Grace, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. She was 84.
She was born in Plainsville, New Jersey, to the late George and Susie McCafferty Davidson.
She was the loving wife of the late Grover Keene. She was the devoted mother of Larry Diehl and Kay Carter of Port Deposit, MD, James Stauffer and Mechelle McCurry of Havre de Grace, MD, Carol and Jim Rude of Perryville, MD, and Betty and Josh Goodin of Wake Forest, NC, and the late Sandra Ray. She is survived by 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Bob Davidson of Elkton, MD, Janet Caldwell of Perryville, MD and the late George Davidson. She is also survived by her nephew Jeff Davidson of Perryville, MD.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 47 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing and playing Tripoli. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Angel Hill Cemetery.
Donations may be made in her memory to Jim Stauffer, P.O. Box 283, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
