Mary Etta (Hurley) McCraw
Mary Etta (Hurley) McCraw of Havre de Grace, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2009 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. She was 88.
Mrs. McCraw was born in West Jefferson, NC to the Late Estle and Betty (Shumake) Hurley. She was the devoted mother of Evelyn Powers Murray and Wylene Dubree. She was a loving grandmother of four: Joanna Beth Murray, Mary K. Moses, Linda S. Gischel and William Aubrey Worthington. She was a wonderful great grandmother of five: James Douglas Crabbe, Eric A. Moses, Brittany E. Gischel, Justin D. Worthington and Matthew A. Worthington. She was predeceased by five brothers and one sister, she is survived by two sisters, Ophelia Day of Joppa and Stella Blackburn of Jefferson N.C.
Mrs. McCraw was employed at the Bata Shoe Company and retired from Brevin's Nursing Home where she worked as a Dietician. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking and listening to music. She adored her family and being with them.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078
A service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 12 PM also at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Angel Hill Cemetery.
Officiating will be Rev. Harold Hubble.
