Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Triplett, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished member of her community. She left this world peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on November 19, 1945, in Havre de Grace, Maryland to the late Woodrow and Louise (Mandrell) Calary.

Mary's educational journey culminated in a master's degree in education from Towson University. This achievement reflected her commitment to lifelong learning and her desire to share knowledge with countless students. She devoted over three decades to education as a Biology Teacher for Harford County Public Schools and had won the Teacher of the Year. She inspired countless students with her passion for the natural world, anatomical sciences, and her unwavering belief in their potential.
Beyond the classroom, she was a dedicated wife of the late Edward Triplett. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Angie Pollitt and her husband Chris, and the late Amy Fluker. She is survived by her son-in-law Randy Fluker. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jordyn Gobble and her husband Jeffrey, Tyler Pollitt, Trey Fluker, and Keith Lewis. Her great-grandchildren—Kayla Lewis, Milana Lewis, and Coast Gobble—were also dear to her. She also leaves behind Julia Lewis, whom she loved dearly. All of them were the lights of her life. To them, she was more than a mother, grandmother, and friend; she was a source of wisdom, strength, and unconditional love.

Family meant everything to Mary. She held a special bond with her sisters, Dorothy "Dottie" ZurNedden and Joanne Roland, and her husband Jim. Together, they shared laughter, stories, and a deep-rooted connection that spanned their lives.
Mary loved traveling, the ocean, snorkeling, and spending time at the beach. She loved the outdoors, boating, and adventures. Most of all, she loved to be with her family.

Mary's spirit will continue to live on through her family. They will remember her for her boundless love, sage advice, zest for life, and ability to bring people together. Her kindness left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege to know her. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.

A celebration of life may be held where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. Details regarding the date and location of the services will be announced in the coming days. We invite all who knew and loved Mary to join us in remembering a remarkable woman. Her light will continue to shine in all our lives.
