It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marynell Maurice, whose nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication touched the lives of many. Marynell, born on June 20, 1949, in Havre De Grace, MD, lived a full life dedicated to her family and her profession. She passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, at the age of 77.

Marynell was predeceased by her parents, John J. McMahon and Kathleen (Moran) McMahon. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Bumba and predeceased by the late Eileen Fuller.

Marynell was a cherished mother to her four children, George "Marty" Maurice (Mylah), Kelly Laubner, Keri Read (Brian), and John Maurice (Joanne). She was a loving grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Jordan Purcell, Michael Laubner (Stephanie Golumbek), Jacob Laubner, Luke Laubner, Matthew Laubner, Nicholas Read, Nathaniel Read, Liam Maurice, Madeleine Maurice (Daniel Chiominto), Stephanie Van Nostrand (David Paz) and Jenna Van Nostrand, and was aunt to several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her incredible lifelong friend, Carol Francis.

Marynell cherished her two beloved dogs, Murray and the late Bella.

A proud graduate with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Marynell devoted 38 years of her life to caring for others at Harford Memorial Hospital. Her compassion and expertise made her a beloved figure among colleagues and patients alike. Marynell was not just a nurse; she was a beacon of kindness, providing comfort and support to those in need.

Marynell found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader and loved engaging her mind with trivia and Scrabble. Her vibrant personality and sharp wit brought laughter to countless gatherings.

Her legacy of love and compassion will forever resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Marynell's life. A public visitation will be held at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., on October 21, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service that will honor her remarkable journey.

In this time of sorrow, we remember and celebrate the beautiful life of Marynell Maurice-an extraordinary woman whose love and kindness will live on in our hearts.
