It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sue Harmon, on July 31, 2026, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Born on February 3, 1940, in Grassy Creek, North Carolina, Sue's spirit shone brightly throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Sue worked in child care, dedicating her life to nurturing and caring for children. She was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Havre de Grace, where her faith in God and her love for her community flourished. In a testament to her vibrant spirit and dedication, she was proudly inducted into the Havre de Grace Little League Hall of Fame, where her legacy as a supporter of youth sports will forever be remembered.

A lover of family and music, Sue found immense joy in her beloved Elvis Presley. She spent countless hours traveling to Tennessee to see Elvis impersonator Travis James perform, indulging in her passion and sharing delightful moments with friends and family. She thrived on the time spent with her loved ones, creating cherished memories with her son George McRoberts (Joan), daughter Pam Hancock (Lenny), sons Randy McRoberts (Rayma) and Greg McRoberts (Jennifer), grandchildren, Georgia (John), Danielle (Mike), Ashley (Dan), Josh (Chelsey), Elizabeth (Aaron), Kelsey, Annelise, Evan, Nate, Aidan, great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Brittany, Evan, Haley, Maddison, Brooke, Hannah, Cale, Jaylynn, Kyle, Emma, Sophia, Harper, Jase, Mason, Kylie, Kurtis, Hadley, Colbie, Wilbur, Hattie and sister Shirley Whightsel (Frank). Sue was preceded in death by her parents,Thomas Bumgarner and Rose Waddell Dutcher, and many siblings.

As we celebrate Sue's extraordinary life, we invite friends and family to join us for a viewing on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6-8 PM, and Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 10-11 AM, with funeral services following at 11 AM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace, MD.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church of Havre de Grace.

Sue Harmon's legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will forever remain in our hearts. Let us remember her with joy, knowing she rests peacefully in the arms of the God she cherished.
