Melvin Wrublewski


Melvin Wrublewski of Bel Air, Maryland, formerly of Havre de Grace, passed away on January 21, 2008 at home. He was 78 years.

Melvin was born in Winnipeg, ManitobaCanada to the Late Roy and Jessie ( Truss ) Wrublewski. He was formerly married to Charlotte Rose Wrublewski of Churchville, Maryland. He graduated from the StuyvesantHigh School and graduated from college at Fordham. He served in the United States Army and served during the Korean War.

Mr. Wrublewski is survived by his children Mark Wrublewski of Montgomery, Alabama, Thomas Wrublewski and his wife Kathie of Dunkirk, Maryland, Jeffrey Wrublewski of Bel Air, Maryland, Cecile Upchurch and her husband Ben of Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte " Cheri" Bowman and her husband Tim of Conowingo, Maryland. He was a loving grandfather to Bobby and Mark Wrublewski both of Montgomery, Alabama, Jennifer Wrublewski of Ocean City, Maryland, Diane Sumler of Baltimore, Maryland, Jonathan Wrublewski of Waldorf, Maryland, Michael Robitaille of Woodstock, Georgia, Kelsey Bowman of Conowingo, Maryland. Also survived by a brother Walter Wrublewski of Whitestone, New York. He was pre-deceased by a grandson Tommy Wrublewski and a sister Jeanette Benson.

Melvin Wrublewski retired from BRL, Aberdeen Proving Ground as an Electrical Engineer. He was the chief of BRL at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He was a Designer with the "ENIAC" which was the first computer to be built. He loved to collect stamps. Melvin enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City. He enjoyed bowling and horses.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 1 to 2 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078.

A service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 2 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078.

Officiating will be Pastor Harold Phillips of PleasantvilleBaptistChurch in Port Deposit, Maryland.
