It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Neil Campbell Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world unexpectedly on March 29, 2026. Born in Baltimore, MD, on April 18, 1947, Michael lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and love for his family and community. Michael was a resident of Havre de Grace, MD for a majority of his life.

Michael graduated from Salesianum School in 1965 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967 Michael, where he was a Navy Corpsman and served for 4 years, earning a National Defense Service Medal. Upon leaving the U.S. Navy, Michael was a firefighter at Bainbridge Naval Training Center and Perry Point Veterans Administration Medical Center before embarking as a devoted safety and occupational health specialist for the Veterans Administration and the U.S. Army. His commitment to public service and ensuring the safety and well-being of others was reflected in his many roles, including his service as a life member of the Susquehanna Hose Company and the Post 47 American Legion Ambulance Corps. He was also a respected instructor for the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, sharing his knowledge and expertise with future generations.

A man of many interests, Michael was an avid waterfowl hunter and fisherman, always looking for the next great catch or the perfect hunting spot. His true happiness, however, came from spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren's sporting events and extracurricular activities.
