Michael David Crawford, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on May 16, 2016. He was 72. Mr. Crawford was born in Cumberland, MD, to the late Paul Hunter Crawford, Sr., and Gipsie Boggess Crawford. He was the devoted husband of 47 years of Deborah Kay Crawford, loving father of Michael Carter Crawford of Havre de Grace, MD, and Marjorie Crawford Flemings and her husband Myron, of Havre de Grace, MD, the late Steven Dwayne Crawford. Mr. Crawford was also predeceased by twin boys. He was the adored grandfather of Trevon Dwayne Flemings- Crawford and Tori Tischa, Myron "JaVaughn" Flemings, Melani Chyna Flemings, and Cora Leigh Hagen. He was the brother of Paul H. Crawford, Jr., and his wife Mary, of Havre de Grace, MD, and Linda K. Crawford of North Carolina. Mr. Crawford is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Crawford served in the Army National Guard from 1963- 1969. He worked at Chrysler for 34 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard and building things for his house. He loved his pet birds and dogs, and enjoyed being with his family.
He and his wife were always babysitting, which he cherished.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016, from 10 AM until 12 PM, at First Christian Church, 800 Giles St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Pastor Ron Tabor will officiate.
