Mildred L. Taylor

Mildred L. Taylor, of Churchville, MD, passed away on January 28, 2012. She was 87. She was born in Norton, West Virginia, to Albert and Pearl Scott Zoeffel. She was the wife of the late Ralph L. Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was the loving mother of Jeffrey L. Taylor and his wife Kelly of Joplin, Missouri, Trela M. Hard and her husband Lew of Fuquay Varina, NC, Carolyn Poist and her husband Kenneth of Havre de Grace, MD, and Claudia Mayberry and Ed Kelley of Aberdeen, MD. She was the adored grandmother of Michael Poist, Jennifer Hard, Brian Hard, Karen Hard, Amanda Moyer, and Chris Taylor, and also had two great- grandchildren. She was also survived by her brother Lamar Zoeffel of Havre de Grace, MD, Mae Thompson of Joshua Tree, CA, and Miriam Eads of Elkton, MD. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Taylor was an avid reader. She was also a member of Rock Run United Methodist Church. A viewing will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 1-2 PM at Rock Run United Methodist Church located at the corner of Rock Run Rd. and Craig's Corner Rd. Funeral services will begin at the church at 2 PM. Pastor Gary Sieglein will officiate. Contributions may be made in her memory to Rock Run Church.
