It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Lee Mitchell, a devoted mother, beloved grandmother, and cherished friend, who peacefully left this world on April 27, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on February 24, 1943, in Baltimore, MD, Nancy dedicated her life to her family and home, embodying the true spirit of a loving homemaker.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Olivia Rogers, Vicki Thomas, and Lori Essig, and her two sons, Rodney and Eric Mitchell. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Jessica Skay, Sean Breckling, Danielle Halstead, Roger Brown, Megan Thomas, Jocelyn Rogers, Erica Mitchell, and Ray Mitchell. Additionally, she was a proud great-grandmother to Joseph Skay, India Brown, Maddie Brown, Kaylee Putnam, and Jace Halstead. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ray William Mitchell, and her parents, Arthur Peyton and Josephine Barnes Peyton.

A lover of old movies, especially Westerns, Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including playing cards and dice with her family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Funeral services to honor Nancy's life will be held on May 1, 2026, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. A public visitation will take place from 5:00 PM, with the funeral service following at 6:00 PM.

Nancy Lee Mitchell will be remembered not only for her love and devotion to her family but also for her spirited personality and unwavering kindness. In this time of sorrow, we invite you to join us in celebrating her life and the profound impact she had on us all.
