It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Ruth Simpers, who left us peacefully on February 22, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on October 31, 1939, Nancy spent her life dedicated to her family and her work as a lab technician at the Perry Point VA Medical Center, where she served with unwavering commitment to those in need. Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace, playing piano and teaching Sunday School for there for many years. She was a member of Susquehanna Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years and enjoyed bowling on several leagues at Harford Lanes in Aberdeen, MD.
Nancy was a vibrant spirit, known for her kindness and compassion. She cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her love for her family was evident in every moment spent together. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 64 years, James Simpers; her daughter Kennon Lee (The Late Michael Lee), her grandson, Matthew Lee (Krystle Stanyard); and her cherished great-grandchildren: Gavin Lee, Gaige Lee, Camden Lee, Aiden Stanyard, Sophia Stanyard, and Isabelle Stanyard. She is also survived by her dear sister, Judith Rothwell, her brother, Kenneth Drury, and many nieces and nephews, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Nancy's life was a testament to the power of love and resilience. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services to celebrate Nancy's life will be held at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., on February 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A public viewing will take place on February 26, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, also at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. During these gatherings, family and friends are invited to share their memories and honor Nancy's remarkable spirit.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Wiliam Drury, mother, Mildred Drury, grandson, William "Willie" Lee, sister, Claudette Kail, and brother, David Drury.
