It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nancy Marie Stewart, 61 of Aberdeen. She was the beloved wife of Michael John Schertle Jr. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother Sherry Miller and father Walter Stewart. She is survived by her sister, Kelly Martin (Timmy) and nephews (Jase and Gunnar). She was a beloved step-parent/grand-parent and friend to many. Nancy is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Lisa McLaughlin and Diana Schertle and many nephews and neices.She was predeceased by her aunt, Marsha Hatch. Nancy was born in Havre De Grace, resided in Aberdeen where she departed from this world peacefully on July 20, 2025.


Nancy earned her Bachelor's Degree in accounting with honors from Baltimore City Community College and worked many years in her chosen field.



Nancy enjoyed being active in travel and activities. She cherished her family above all else who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.



She also enjoyed going to concerts as well as visits to Longwood Gardens and taking her nephews to festivals, movies, and kids' events. Nancy looked forward to going out to eat with family and friends as she was known for being the group event planner.



Nancy took pride in decorating her home for the holidays that included Fourth of July, Easter, and especially Halloween and Christmas.

In honor of her life and legacy, a Celebration of Life will be held at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. on August 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM. The public is warmly invited to share in the memories and stories of Nancy during a visitation that will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.

As we say goodbye to Nancy, let us remember her generosity and the warmth she brought into our lives. She will be deeply missed but will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
