Naomi Elizabeth Angert



Naomi Elizabeth Angert, of Havre de Grace, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010. She was 88. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late John W. Naff and the late Lillian Kohlhepp Naff. She was the devoted wife of the late Francis "Frank" J. Angert, loving step-mother of Donald F. and Louise Foley Angert of Havre de Grace, MD, and Robert C. and Nancy Frew Angert, of Abingdon. She was the adored grandmother of Christopher J. Angert, Julia Dalby, Anne Horn, Katherine Rossi, Margaret Kelly and the late Stephanie Angert. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Arthur I. Naff of Felton, PA. She was predeceased by her brother John C. Naff. Mrs. Angert was one of several members of her family that owned and operated Frank's Shoe Stores in Havre de Grace, Aberdeen, Elkton, and the Campus Hill's Shopping Center. She was a Life Member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where she served as a volunteer on the Bereavement Committee and was also a counter for the church. She was a Life Member of the Harford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, where she served at the information desk, the gift shop, and the surgical family waiting room. She was a Life Member of the Susquehanna Museum at the Lock House, Life Member of the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum, Life Member of the Decoy Museum, Life Member of the Friends of the Havre de Grace Library, and also a Life Member of the Friends' of Concord Point Light House. She was also a member of the Soroptomist Club and the Venture Club of Harford County. Along with her many volunteer activities, Mrs. Angert enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved to read and watch and shop on QVC. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, January 12, at 11:00 AM, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 257 South Law Street, Aberdeen, Maryland 21001. Father Michael Buttner will officiate.
