Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nathan Allen Meininger, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left us on September 14, 2025, at the age of 56. Born in Towson, Maryland, Nathan grew up surrounded by the beauty of his home state and spent his life serving his community with passion and dedication.

From a young age, Nathan showcased an unwavering commitment to helping others, beginning his journey in emergency services at just 14 years old with the Long Green Fire Department. He achieved his EMT-B certification in Salisbury, Maryland, and went on to become an esteemed IV Tech. Nathan devoted his career to healthcare, providing vital assistance to those in need while working for several EMS transport companies, and serving for many years at the Aberdeen Fire Department. As a National Registered Firefighter III, he embodied the spirit of service that so many aspire to emulate.

Nathan's life was filled with a deep love for family and the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle, fostering a love for adventure that he happily shared with his cherished children and friends. An enthusiast of firearms, he reveled in the camaraderie and knowledge that came from his passion.

Nathan is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Meininger, and their children, Katlynn, Emmitt, Emily, Sarah, Christian, and Noah. He is also survived by his father, William Meininger; mother, Jane Meininger; step-mother, Arlene Meininger; brother Bill Meininger; brother Matt Meininger; and sister Ghenna Mincey. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and selflessness that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

To honor Nathan's remarkable life and service, a public visitation will be held at the Aberdeen Fire Department on September 26, 2025, from 4:00 - 7;00 PM. Friends, family, and those whose lives have been touched by his kindness are invited to join in remembering and celebrating the profound impact he had on so many.

Nathan's spirit will continue to shine through the love he shared and the lives he saved, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
