Obituary

Patricia Amalina Denney, a loving mother, devoted family therapist, and cherished member of the community, passed away on August 26, 2024, in Bel Air, MD. Born on October 10, 1940, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Patricia was a dedicated individual who touched the lives of many through her work in the recovery industry.

Patricia worked as a family therapist at Father Martin's Ashley, where she helped countless individuals navigate through their personal struggles and journey towards healing. Her commitment to her profession was a testament to her compassionate and nurturing nature.

Throughout her life, Patricia found joy in simple pleasures - traveling, capturing moments through her photography, and appreciating the beauty of music. She was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she found solace and community.

A strong advocate for recovery programs, Patricia celebrated 41 years of sobriety, inspiring many with her resilience and determination. She leaves behind a legacy of hope and courage that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Patricia is survived by her children Francisco "Paco" Cummings, Tania Campbell, Alejandro "Alex" Cummings, and Anita Cummings, step-children Megan Martin, Laird Cummings (Jennifer), Kevin Denney, and Heather Petit (Will Hurd), as well as her grandchildren, Francisco Cummings, Jr., Selena Campbell, Aidan Campbell, Natalie Campbell, Avery Cummings, Emma Cummings, and Nina Lucia Cummings and siblings, Alberto Tola and Silvia Ruttledge.

A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace, MD, on September 4, 2024, at 12:00 pm, with a Public Viewing preceding at 10:00 am. Mausoleum entombment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.

In honoring Patricia's memory, let us reflect on the love and compassion she shared with those around her and the positive impact she made on the lives she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing that her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness and dedication.

Patricia was preceded in death by: Benjamin Denney, Jr., Gustavo Tola, Annabella Tola, and Hilary Petit.
