Patricia E. Owings, 75, passed away on December 12, 2025. She was born on January 6, 1950, in Keyser, West Virginia.

Patricia spent her working life in hospitality and retired from the VA Medical Center in Perry Point, Maryland, where she was known for her reliability and dedication to her responsibilities.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Robert Owings. She is also survived by her two adult children Lauren and Brandon, 2 sisters Peggy and Linda, and 1 brother James. She was preceded in death by her parents, Onnie Carr and Katherine Carr, and a brother, Onnie Carr, III.

Patricia valued her independence and routine and took comfort in the familiarity of home. She had a deep affection for animals, particularly her cats, which were a constant presence in her life and brought her companionship over the years.

Services for Patricia will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Chesapeake Feline Association, 88 Spring Hill Lane, North East, MD 21901, or to a local animal shelter of the donor's choice.

Patricia will be remembered by those who knew her in their own ways, and her life leaves its mark through the people and animals she cared for.
