Radford "Randy" Gene Ashford, Jr., also know as "Fat Rat", of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on July 24, 2016. He was 49.
He was born in Havre de Grace, MD. He was the son of Radford Gene Ashford, Sr., of Perryville, MD, and Blanche May Keen Berry of Aberdeen, MD. He was the loving father of Kalin May Ashford of Havre de Grace, MD, and Radford "Randy" Gene Ashford, III, of Havre de Grace, MD. He was the adored grandfather of Karisma Faye McCray and Abigail Grace Ashford. He was the brother of Doreen Elizabeth Greer of Conowingo, MD, and Eugena Ann Lynn of St. Paul's, NC. He is also survived by his step-father Hugh LaPenotiere, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step-father Leo Berry and his grandparents Cora and Jack Keen.
Mr. Ashford worked for Plano-Coudon Construction and owned and operated Randy's Handyman Service. He loved hunting, fishing and crabbing. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, from 2-4 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 PM. Pastor George Ambrose will officiate.
