Ralph Wilson White, Sr.


Ralph Wilson White, Sr. of Newark, DE, passed away on July 8, 2008, at ChristianaHospital in Delaware. He was 68 years old.

Mr. White was born at home in Craigtown, MD to the Late Melvin B. and Helen Margaret (Watson) White. He was predeceased by his wife the Late Sylvia Jean White.

He was the loving brother to Anna Elizabeth (White) Church and her husband Bill Church of Havre de Grace, MD and Janet Ozella of Wales, FL. Ralph was devoted to his long time girlfriend Gail Hanulik of Newark, DE. He was a loving father of four: Helen Price and her husband Rodney of Port Deposit, MD, Brenda Hennessee and her husband John of Hinesville, GA, Ralph White, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Fort Benning, GA and William Wallace "Wally" White, II, of Tampa, FL. He was an adoring grandfather of five: Marshall Brooks of Hinesville, GA, Tiffany Utter of Port Deposit, MD, Ashley White of Havre de Grace, MD, Nicholas White of Havre de Grace, MD, John Hennessee of Hinesville, GA, and Danielle Hennessee of Hinesville, GA. He is also survived by his six great grandchildren: Hailey, John and Dixie Utter of Port Deposit, MD, Alex Brooks of Hinesville, GA, Brian Eller of Newark, DE and Kasey Blankenship of Newark, DE, and Tabitha Hanulik of Newark, DE.

Mr. White had retired as a parts manager for A1 Sales. He had also served four years in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #47 in Havre de Grace, MD.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 1 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

A service will be held following a visitation at 2 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A.

Interment will be at AngelHillCemetery in Havre de Grace, MD.

Officiating will be Pastor Miller.

Pallbearers will be Ralph White, Jr., Bill Church, Sr., Bill Church, Jr., John Hennessee, and Jack Brookshire.
