It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ralph Curtis Zachry, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on October 8, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on November 26, 1949, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Ralph dedicated his life to his family and his passions, leaving a legacy of love and joy.
Throughout his life, Ralph was an member of the Havre de Grace Elks Lodge, where he enjoyed camaraderie and community service. His passions extended beyond work, as he was an avid golfer and a devoted sports enthusiast. He cherished his earlier time coaching baseball and softball, instilling a love for the game in young athletes. Ralph was also a passionate bowler and a loyal Baltimore Ravens fan, celebrating the thrill of every game.
Ralph's love for automobiles was evident in his admiration for Corvettes and his knack for fixing cars, a hobby that brought him immense joy. He found happiness in the music and movement of country line-dancing and enjoyed the occasional visit to the casinos, where laughter and excitement abounded.
Ralph's spirit will endure through his loving wife, Jill Zachry, his daughters Sharon Zachry , Bobbi Zachry, and Amanda Winebrenner (late Mark), his grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ardesia, Samara, and Jordan White, Dyllon Zachry-Nance, Josh Kurlin, and Nicole, Caylee, and Morgan Winebrenner, and his great-grandchildren Camden and Azhani White, and Zen Dorsey. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon Goldstein (Gines), Bill Buckman (Janet), and Tracey Dabkowski (Glenn), his first wife and friend, Helen Sheaffer, and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Robert Zachry and Martha Zelner Zachry, daughter, Susan Zachry, sister Denise Buchman, and brother, Robert Zachry.
